Check out October’s Crafter of the Month post for more pictures of Alison Moore’s cards! They are BEAUTIFUL! Everyone will want to be on her Christmas card list…
Thanks again, Alison!
So, I’m not the first DIYer to walk the halls of Chatelaine, obviously. There have been many editors before me with a knack for crafting — in fact, there was an exclusive crafts editor for a while. (I would know this because I did the research for our 80th anniversary issue last May and have read every single issue of Chatelaine ever printed. Yes, seriously. Yes, it did take a long time. Yes, I loved it.)
For decades we were the destination for all kinds of clothing, accessory and home decor patterns, including status as Canada’s first distributor of Vogue patterns. And we were scrapbooking long before scrapbooking was as cool as it is now. Anyway, here’s a look at a couple of things from our crafty history, just for fun:
I love the kitchen scrapbook and think it would make a great wedding present if filled with family recipes (this may or may not be a subtle hint to my family).
There will be many more glimpses into our archives on She’s Crafty (I have a deep appreciation for them…and all things vintage). And if you try any of the crafts, send me a picture! I’ll post them!
