Canada is cool again? Well clearly if you look at the temperature outside. And according to the Hudson’s Bay Company, Canadiana items are back in style with the Hudson Bay Heritage Collection. Composed of 120 items, this collection includes their classic point blankets, coats, scarves, hats, and of course maple sugar cubes, hand-knit sweaters and made-to-order canoes… Huh? Yeah, canoes are cool again too in case you didn’t know.
Custom-made Hudson Bay Canoe. I want one!
Top designers reworked the traditional red, yellow, indigo and green multi-stripe signature of the Bay for the collection including: Pink Tartan, Shared, Harricana, Virginia Johnson, Jeremy Laing, Comgrags, Todd Lynn, Klaxon Howl, Smythe and Erdem. These coats are on exhibition at the Queen Street store right now and will be featured in Vancouver at the Olympic Games.
Tons of Canadian designers are re-inventing the traditional print and it’s pretty exciting.

The Hudson’s Bay Company Collection is in stores now. Whether you’re a collector or gifting to someone from out of town, find coats from ($249 – $265), scarves ($55 – $98), mitts ($50 – $98) and bags ($695 – $895) as well as blankets in heritage prints ($275- $475).

To whom it may concern: In the first week of Dec./09 I contacted HB via e-mail and requested information on how I could obtain a signature series (red, green, yellow and black striped) hat & scarf. The information I received was that only 3 stores in all of Canada have that series. Toronto is sold out and Vancouver would not take my order over the telephone. I’m so very disapointed and would ask that if you can help to forward any direction that would ensure my obtaining the above two items. Thank you Nicolle

Hi Nicolle,
I’m so sorry it’s sold out! I would call and ask their customer service if there is any way to order it online? Or if they are restocking at all?
