Green weddings continued…

While your wedding planning may already be in full swing as your ceremony gets closer, these great green companies are good for all sorts of upcoming events.

So whether you’re looking for a green wedding cake or a makeup artist that uses organic products these cross-country collectives are sure to provide some options.

Take Pulp & Circumstance, started by entrepreneur Yoko Chapman in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This company, as well as Chapman’s new VERT Yoko Chapman offer an ecological alternative and zero carbon wedding invitations. Chapman also founded Winnipeg’s first green business collective, Eco Luxe Event Design Group, that includes five local entrepreneurs, including an organic florist, a photographer, an organic cookie company, and Chapman’s green wedding invites.

Check out WedVert for more on eco-weddings ideas, plus great gown designers and makeup artists.

There are many more vendors across the country, many of which I came across when writing about the Eco-Wedding and Lifestyle Show last year.

LPK’s Culinary Groove makes organic cakes, pastries and chocolates and now has a retail store in Toronto’s Riverside area so you can create your very own customized, environmentally-friendly wedding cake. Using fair trade, certified organic, local and seasonal ingredients, it’s also great for for those who love baked goods without the extras – LPK also offers vegan and gluten-free desserts. Perfect for those who have guests with special dietary needs. (And trust me I have converted non-believers. These desserts are good!)

Eco Flora is a Toronto-based fair trade and organic florist. They’ll put together a wildcrafted bouquet for the environmentally conscious that’s not only green, but gorgeous.

Brides to be, let me know if you find any other companies that float your eco-boat!
