Hi All,
Tomorrow Corina will post a fabulous dessert – just in time for fresh strawberries and some weekend relaxing.
‘Till then, here’s her answers to your comments:
COMMENT you are unbelievably talented – those cakes are incredible. So incredible, I just burnt some of my nuts for my pesto – lots track of time while being mesmorized by those cakes

CORINA’S ANSWER Thanks for your note Heather. Sorry to hear about your pesto – but good on you for making it from scratch!
COMMENT How can I learn to do this and are there any good books out there on cake design? I would love to learn to work with fondant icing.
Are you planning to do a book to share your secrets?!!?!?!?
Thanks!!
Marci

CORINA’S ANSWER Hi Marci, yes – there are lots of good books and web sites on cake design and classes you can take. If you’re in the Victoria area, I’d recommend the fondant class from Creating Occasions at http://www.creatingoccasions.com/calendar.htm or you can take the Wilton Classes at your Michael’s Craft store. In terms of books, check out Confetti Cakes by Elisa Strauss, Cakewalk by Margaret Braun and Cake by Williams Sonoma. There are also lots of “How to” videos on YouTube. I’m open to sharing secrets, and a book would be fun. However I bake better than I write – so I’m sticking to baking for now ;0)
COMMENT The Nemo cake is totally cute! What a terrific talent to have! Edible art, YUMMY!
